REGISTRATION FOR OUR FALL SESSION IS NOW OPEN!
Come join us for an evening of mindful meditation and insightful discussion. Through the practice of Insight Meditation, or Vipassana, we become more attuned to our experience, and learn to cultivate greater calm and open-heartedness in daily life. Whether you are looking to start, re-start, or continue your meditation practice, our class offers an intimate and supportive environment.
We usually begin class with a few minutes of gentle yoga or mindful movement to help make the transition from our busy day to a place of greater calm. This can always be modified to meet individual physical needs. When weather permits, we might include a period of mindful walking, or other contemplations, outside in the peaceful memory garden adjacent to the Chalice House.
Each class includes a guided meditation, a short talk on practical Buddhist teachings, and time for questions and discussion. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, and participants may share as much or as little as they wish. With our small class size (usually less than 25), people are able to get to know each other and make meaningful connections. All are welcome, and we look forward to seeing you!
Class meets on Monday evenings from 7:30 - 9:00 pm, during the sessions listed below.
