You will find us in the Chalice House, the smaller building adjacent to the upper parking lot.

Chairs are provided, as well as a few cushions and benches for sitting on the floor. You are welcome to bring your own sitting gear.

Driving Directions

From Washington, DC:

Go north on Wisconsin Ave (Rt. 355) through downtown Bethesda, until it becomes Rockville Pike. Pass NIH and the Naval Medical Hospital and come to the traffic light at the intersection with Cedar Lane. At the intersection, turn right onto Cedar Lane and continue for another .7 miles. The Church entrance is on the right near the top of the hill and is marked by a low, lighted sign. It is the second driveway on the right after the traffic light at Beach Drive.

From the Beltway Outer Loop (westbound I-495):

Take exit 33, Connecticut Ave., which splits into two ramps. Bear right and take the one marked "Connecticut Avenue North, Kensington." When you get onto Connecticut Avenue, move to the left lane as soon as possible. At the first traffic light, turn left onto Beach Drive. Follow Beach Drive about .5 miles through the park to the traffic light at Cedar Lane. Turn right onto Cedar Lane and proceed up the hill to the Church entrance.

From Virginia via the Beltway Inner Loop (eastbound I-495):

Take exit 36, Old Georgetown Road, and bear right onto Old Georgetown Rd. going south towards Bethesda. At the third traffric light, turn left onto Cedar Lane. Continue on Cedar Lane, through the intersections with Rockville Pike (Rt. 355, Wisconsin Ave) and Beach Drive. The church entrance is on the right, .7 miles past Rockville Rike.

By Public Transportation

The closest Metro stop is the Medical Center station on the red line. After coming out of the station, walk north on Rockville Pike/Rt 355 for about half a mile to the traffic light at Cedar Lane. Turn right and walk for about another .7 miles east on Cedar Lane to the entrance to the church.

Alternately, take Ride-on Bus #34 from the Medical Center station 20 - 30 min before class begins. Request a stop as the bus approaches the intersection with Beach Drive. It will drop you off within a few minutes walk of the Chalice House.
